Facilities available for hire

Kirk Hallam Community Academy has a diverse range of facilities that can be hired by the community during the evenings, weekends and school holidays.

The academy aims to support opportunities for the local community in physical and cultural activities whilst providing a friendly and welcoming environment.

Available facilities include an 11-a-side artificial pitch, 7-a-side artificial pitches, fitness suite, sports hall, lecture/performance hall, meeting rooms, classrooms, activity room, dining hall, outdoor netball courts and outdoor tennis courts.

Artificial Grass Pitches

The pitch is third generation technology with floodlighting. The full 11-a-side sized pitch has two divider nets that can split the pitch into three areas catering for 5-a-side and 7-a-side football. The AGP also comprises of a tarmac viewing area for spectators.

Fitness Suite

The suite contains 16 stations of fitness equipment including cardio and weights machines, as well as a selection of free weights, medicine balls, and kettle bells. There is also a designated area for sit ups and stretching. There is no membership or joining fee and users can either pay monthly or per session.

Sports Hall

The sports hall is 32m x 17m. There is a half way dividing net so the hall can be split into two halves. The hall has two adult sized basketball rings and four junior rings. The site caters for basketball matches as the hall is equipped with an electronic scoreboard. There are two indoor cricket nets and a pair of indoor 5-a-side goals. The sports hall is fitted with acoustic panels to reduce noise levels.

Lakeside Building

The Lakeside Building compromises of a large multi-use hall/performance space with tiered seating for 220 people and overall seating space for 450. There are fifteen classrooms and three meeting areas. The building can be let as a whole or by room for meetings, performances and events.
