Update letter
Dear Parents/Carers
I wanted to express my pride in seeing our students back in school today. We had excellent attendance and the way that students conducted themselves around the site from the start of the day to the end was wonderful to see.
It has been a difficult 6 months without our students in the building, however, seeing them in their new improved classrooms, learning new systems and being so positive about the school and themselves has been wonderful to see.
As a school we have made our uniform expectations clear in response to parental demand and parent voice. Can I thank students for wearing their uniform with pride today. Talking to many staff and one or two external visitors, they expressed their view to me that we have some of the smartest and well-dressed students they have seen.
Today and tomorrow will be about trying to embed our new routines, systems and processes and attempting to develop the consistency, positivity and fairness that will allow all of our students to achieve and flourish.
Over the next few weeks we will be sending details of our Culture management system Kickboard to everyone so that you can download the app and receive real time reports on how your child’s day is going.
On a separate note, can I also thank parents for their assistance with the start and end of the day, your patience and support has made this a smooth process on Friday and today.
Sincerely
Mr D Belshaw
