RO50: IT in the Digital World: Exam Unit

In this unit you will learn about design and testing concepts for creating an IT solution or product, and the uses of IT in the digital world. Topics include:

RO60: Data Manipulation using Spreadsheets (Set Assignment)

In this unit you will learn how to plan, design, create, test and evaluate a data manipulation spreadsheet solution to meet client’s requirements. You will be able to evaluate your solution based on the user requirements. Topics include:

RO70: Using Augmented Reality to Present Information (Set Assignment)

In this unit you will learn how to design, create, test and review an Augmented Reality model prototype to meet a client’s requirements. Topics include:

Requirements

You must have a love for learning about IT in the modern world and how it can benefit people in a range of sectors. You should have an interest in learning about how data manipulation is part of many job roles, supporting growth and development in different areas such as IT, Finance, Hospitality, Education and Government.

Augmented Reality (AR) has made it possible to present information so that users can see more detail in items/ products with 2D or 3D images and can place the item digitally in their surroundings. You should be enthusiastic about designing, learning and creating prototype AR models to see how we can increase engagement, interaction and a richer user experience in the modern world.

Where can it lead?

The course will provide you with a range of transferable skills and some basic industry knowledge and skills. It opens up the opportunity to learn how you can use IT and Augmented Reality in any job sector, whether it be in advertisement and marketing, health and beauty, fashion, business, education, social media, medicine, and entertainment.
