About the course

Students should produce practical and critical/contextual work in one or more areas of study, for example, fashion design, fashion textiles, costume design, digital textiles, printed and/or dyed fabrics and materials, domestic textiles, wallpaper, interior design, constructed textiles, art textiles and installed textiles

General Sixth Form admission requirements and GCSE Textiles at a grade 5 or above.

This creative and thought-provoking qualification gives students the practical skills, theoretical knowledge and confidence to succeed in a number of careers, especially those in the creative industries. It could lead to a Higher Education course in various design related areas such as Fashion and Textile Design, Interior Design, Teaching, Technology/ Design/ Manufacturing.
